Cookies & Privacy
Your choices remain yours. The website also works when you reject audience measurement.
Who is responsible?
Location Luxembourg is personally operated. The controller is the operator identified in the website information. For questions or requests about your data, contact contact@locationluxembourg.lu.
Two categories, a straightforward choice
Essential: your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage as ll_cookie_consent for 180 days. It contains your choice, its date and the policy version, with no advertising identifier. This storage is necessary to respect your decision.
Audience measurement: Google Analytics 4 is optional and based on your consent. Without permission, its tag is not loaded and no Analytics data, including cookieless data, is sent to Google.
What is measured after you agree
We measure visits and sessions, pages viewed, engagement time, language, broad device and browser categories, approximate country or region and the referring website. We also count clicks on links to our Facebook group. We use these statistics to understand the website’s use and improve its content. The cookies assign a pseudonymous browser identifier; this is not fully anonymous data.
What is excluded
We do not send Analytics your post text, search criteria, budget, contact details or field contents. Our integration removes query strings and fragments from page addresses sent for measurement. We use no User-ID, Google Signals, Meta Pixel or advertising tracking. There is no personalised advertising or automated decision-making about you. Automatic form, search and outbound-link measurement is disabled; only the group click is explicitly added.
Storage and retention
- ll_cookie_consent — essential
- Location Luxembourg local storage: accepts and refusals are remembered for 180 days.
- _ga and _ga_* — audience measurement
- Google Analytics cookies on this website’s domain, set after permission: a browser identifier and session state. Configured for a maximum of 180 days, without automatic renewal on each visit.
- Analytics data
- Individual and event data retention is set to 2 months, without resetting on new activity. This limit does not apply to Google’s aggregated statistical reports.
Change your mind
“Accept all”, “Reject all” and “Customise” are available on your first visit. Audience measurement is off by default. “Manage cookies” in every footer lets you change your choice. Withdrawal blocks collection, removes Analytics cookies accessible to this website and reloads the page without the tag. It does not automatically delete data already collected or affect the lawfulness of earlier consent-based processing. We ask again after 180 days or if you clear your browser storage.
Recipients and transfers
The operator can view the statistics. Google Ireland Limited and its service providers process data for Analytics. Processing can occur outside the EEA, including in the United States, under Google’s data processing terms and applicable transfer mechanisms. See also how Google uses information from partner sites. Google states that GA4 does not log or retain individual IP addresses; IP addresses are nevertheless involved in routing requests and deriving an approximate location.
Hosting, forms and external links
LWS hosts this website. Technical logs, including IP addresses and requests, may be processed to operate and secure the website on the basis of the legitimate interest in providing this service. Their retention depends on the host’s settings and obligations and is separate from Analytics cookies. The post builder works in your browser and does not submit its contents to our server. If you email us, your address and message are used to handle your request and kept for as long as necessary to follow it up. Links to Facebook and other websites open external services with their own policies. This website has no user accounts.
Your rights
Depending on your situation, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time. Contact the address above; because we do not link statistics to your identity, we may need further details to locate the relevant data. You can also complain to the CNPD in Luxembourg.
